Once upon a time there lived an ant and a grasshopper.
They were good friends and shared their joys and sorrows and had a good time. The ant was a diligent worker and the later one was a merry-maker, thus, life went on smoothly. Very often the grasshopper drank and indulged in a luxurious and toxic lifestlye and did not save money for winters. It was a common practice that whenever the grasshopper was scanty of money, he went to the ant and borrowed it from her.
The grasshopper worked only during summer days and the ant for all 12 months and saved money for winters.
All of a sudden, one day, the grasshopper was declared to be a bankrupt and had no food to eat.
As usual, he went to the ant requesting to give him food and the ant did the same, thus, a bond of strong friendship went on, but it's a matter of regret, such deeds cannot work for long, so one more day the same incident happened and the ant refused bluntly to follow the old trend.
Life, for the grasshopper, got to be challenging and when he died of hunger, he got a precious life lesson- it always pays to be a hard worker and take life seriously, otherwise, sooner or later one has to be a parasite and lead a life of humiliation, during this time life gets to be nothing but misery.
Here this story is symbolical, both the grasshopper and the ant are the symbols of two classes-the first one is the symbol of a life of pomp and show and luxury, and the later one is the symbol of hard work and a simple and sober lifestyle.
On the other hand, summer stands for good and prosperous days and the winter stands for days of hardships and poverty.
Thus, the story ends with a valuable ethical messege that it always pays to be a hard worker and to work persistently to maintain one's self respect and a respectable status in the society.
Thanks
Have a nice day!
