The LANGUAGE PÔLE
“To take a few nouns, and a few pronouns, and adverbs and adjectives, and put them together, ball them up, and throw them against the wall to make them bounce. That’s what Norman Mailer did. That’s what James Baldwin did, and Joan Didion did, and that’s what I do – that’s what I mean to do.“
Change is the law of nature, says P. B. Shelley. Everything changes during the process of growth and development, and language is no exception. One will see an astonishing anthology of transformation & modifications if one casts a glance over the ancient and modern trends in the English language.
We consider it to be the world’s lingua franca since we use English as the major language in many countries worldwide. If we speak about the grammatical accuracy in a piece of writing in the modern context, an innovative trend of communicative and interactive approach has come to view where 100% accuracy of spelling and grammar is not a must and one can overlook them, that was part and parcel in the ancient times but as the saying goes, “Even nectar becomes poison if taken in excess.”
We cannot take grammar inaccuracy in a language for granted. Modern English says one can ignore minor errors, but if we pack a piece of writing with innumerable mistakes, it gets senseless and null.
English belongs to the Indo-European family of languages and is, therefore, related to most other languages spoken in Europe and western Asia from Iceland to India. The overall journey dates back from 450 AD to the present.
The appendage began from 450 Ad-the first phase-450-1100. Then the second phase-
The middle phase comes from-1100-1500 AD, followed by the modern era-1500-1800 and late modern point-1800-Present.
Geoffrey Chaucer dominated primitive English, known as the father of English poetry when the English language was rough and free from restricted norms.
It divided the entire view into different centuries, according to their features and accomplishments. For instance, the sixteenth century is known as the Golden Age of English Literature, also known as the Shakespearean Age, as most of the contributions were made in this century.

To cope with such an ancient language is not an easy peasy deal for a modern learner, as today’s English is highly polished. Though many paraphrasing and translating tools are available, a deep insight into the traditional English language is indispensable.
English, like other languages, is an amalgamation of words from different origins and morphology.
Towards the end of Middle English, a sudden and distinct change in pronunciation (the Great Vowel Shift) started, with vowels being pronounced shorter and shorter. From the 16th century, the British had contact with many peoples from around the world.
The Renaissance of classical learning meant that many unfamiliar words and phrases entered the language.
The major difference between Early Modern English and Late Modern English is vocabulary. Late Modern English has many more words, arising from two principal factors: first, the Industrial Revolution and technology created a need for unfamiliar words; second, the British Empire at its height covered one-quarter of the earth’s surface, and the English language adopted foreign words from many countries.
However, being a global language, it provides an overall insight into international proceedings and trends, helping us to expand the prospects of success in the world of knowledge, professionalism, and personal growth.
If one speaks about technology, trade & commerce, it occupies its reserved place to touch the heights.
Despite being an outstanding aid in commercial & professional affairs, it owns an inevitable & vital role in the upliftment of the lifestyle & social arena.
The major region of modification and innovation in modern English is vocabulary. Every day extra words from technology, science, and many other sources are adopted to enrich the word bank of the English language, which not only increases the learners’ interest in the language but also enhances its depth, beauty, and learning process. It can help foster precision, detect ambiguity, and exploit the richness of expression available in English."
To talk a bit further, if one intends to shine in the academics and formal arena, he/she has to be adept in the basic and advanced levels of the language, but it’s also a fact that if we speak spoken English, grammar is not that essential. A paltry amount of learning tools can go a long way to success.
To wrap up the entire account, grammar is the backbone of the learning outcomes, if one has to be skilled and the master of speaking, reading, listening, and writing accomplishments.
The story of evolution is endless. The more one dives, the more one derives the pearls of knowledge out of the deep ocean of the English language, so the journey goes on……………….
