About 40 years back, I took birth in the lap of my ‘Ma’ like all other infants crying about uncertainties of the anonymous world, I was in.
De facto, a high-profile family of ancient times when it was not much advanced, having two brothers and three sisters. My family members increased gradually, and finally, I was a full-grown and resplendent tree having thick branches and leaves. It was the commencement of a journey, a road to an unknown destination, but at the same time with a silver ray of hope, it’ll lead to a happy ending.
I have to say regretfully that I met a tragic end-dicing with death -fully crushed, tortured, harassed cold blooded by a handful of so-called advanced, modern, educated, polished people with a sacred heart, rather some so-called will-wishers. Not to exaggerate, an act of deceit, fortune confiscation, selfish motives, feminine decency, and misinterpretation of situations, I feel some people who exceeded the limits of worldly hatred, envy, degraded mentality, ego issues or vanity and more importantly my incapability to provide shelter and fruits because of my decreasing strength and old age, my inability to pay a few pennies.
I fell victim to a handful of vices as vengeance, adverse circumstances, and destructive forces. In a nutshell, if I view it proportionally, my life was more a tragedy than a comedy.
It's not a new trend, in fact, as it’s very natural that trees shed leaves in autumn, but I would like to ask one question, if you don’t mind, is it really fair to escape from our duties as trees are our genuine blessings, they are our forefathers, they are our pals, they not only enrich us with health and wealth and stability, but also, a bitter truth when they leave us, they leave behind their footprints and bestow us, at least, with dry wood that can be used as fuel, feed the descendants, and many other purposes so isn’t a good decision to get rid of old and withered flowers with a selfish point of view or some personal differences of outlook, it may also sound a bit sarcastic & ironical, but if one evaluates with a critical point of view, it’s all a matter of sacraments, or to some extent to protect one’s comfort zone.
Sacraments-a debatable issue as some may argue, if an individual is illiterate, how one can expect random decisions at times of emergency, therefore, I feel, at such delicate situations, it is the duty of so-called enlightened and grown-up citizens to handle such moments judiciously, but it’s a matter of regret that a complete, balanced equilibrium of one’s mindset is scarce in a digital and mechanical age.
Trees are an antidote and soothe us during scorching sunny days, but to speak the truth life moves on irrespective of hardships and hurdles.
The Oak is symbolical of its stability and firmness as escapism is the quality of cowards-
As in the words of Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare-
“Cowards die many times before their death,
Valiant tastes the death but once”.
The Oak says- “All we’ve to fear, is fear itself.’
So why lose heart, I followed the motto and I continued my adventurous journey, with a caravan of comrades as Apple tree, Walnut Tree, Pomegranate tree, Almonds Tree- a class noble and prestigious and so on…, very now and then enjoying luxuries of life, challenging dark moments, struggles for survival and day to day chores.
Life never stands still, it flows, and so was with me, I came across many ups and downs as severe weather conditions, dark and gloomy nights, refreshing springs and above all LOVE & CARE for my near and dear ones, thrilling and exciting hot winter days watching people basking in the sun, providing cool shade.
In the Geeta Lord Krishna said, “Vrakshon main main PEEPLE hoon”.
Trees are well known for their life-giving properties.
I have a long tale to tell about my Spiritual & Meditative journey. I recited hymns, listened to spiritual preachings, shared my soulful moments, and extended all possible alms and saints approached me for comfort.
Thus, I can’t say that I am a perfectionist as perfection is not possible- life and work go hand in hand and by the grace of God I had a few memorable pleasant moments, but a larger part was filled with painful and tragic incidents as My Demise-A Nightmare.
Depends what we receive and perceive around us, I mean there is an ocean of lessons one can learn from gifts of nature so is the case with the OAK, I taught perseverance, tolerance, patience, valor, and a lot more to humanity.
Deep & dense woods was the lap
That cherished & nourished me,
Irrespective of caste, color & creed,
Bearing the fruit of stability, patience, & affectionate refuge
From heat & showers.
I am now in the prime of age bubbling with shine & LOVE
Educationists, scientists, Industrialists, & spiritual gurus
Approach me for consultations, comfort, a big fortune
& supply of raw material
Health & wealth is my another salient feature
An environmental buddy,
A symbol of prosperity, in a nutshell.
